Kathi Burke is a graduate of Washington State University (B.A., Political Science, 1973) and of Georgetown University Law Center (J.D., 1977).  From 1999 to 2006, she was the Executive Director of the Stupski Foundation, a private operating foundation in Mill Valley, CA, focused on K-12 public education reform.  During that time, the Foundation’s primary program was the District Alliance, providing onsite management assistance, grants, leadership development and networking programs for leaders of districts around the country. 

Senior Principal Consultant, Organization Development, Genentech

Deary Paul Duffie leads the Organization Development function for Genentech Research and Product Development. At Genentech, a biotechnology company that merged with Roche Pharmaceuticals in March 2009, he specializes in organization change (growth and resizing), and executive/leadership team development. He has been actively involved in the company’s expansion into the China and India markets.

Kathleen (Kathy) V. Fisher is a partner in Calvo Fisher & Jacob’s San Francisco office. She is actively engaged in a general business litigation and trial practice, with an emphasis on complex cross-border litigation. Kathy also has extensive experience in real property, professional liability, fiduciary, international, and ADR-related litigation. In 2011, The Recorder named her one of “20 Women Leaders in the Law” in recognition of her standing as one of California's leading lawyers.

Kathy was formerly a partner with Morrison & Foerster in San Francisco where she was lead counsel on a number of high-profile cases. She was worldwide chair of the firm’s Litigation Department from 1993 to 1996, longtime member of Morrison’s board of directors, and formerly managing partner of the San Francisco office.

Kathy is active in professional and civic organizations. She is a member of the San Francisco Law Library Commission and has previously served on the Board of Directors of the Bar Association of San Francisco and various San Francisco-based non-profits, including the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. She has received numerous awards for community service, including the San Francisco AIDS Foundation’s Leadership Award in 2004. Kathy received her B.A. degree from the University of California at Los Angeles, cum laude, and her J.D. degree from the University of California, Davis Law School, Order of the Coif.

Arnab (Arnie) Ghatak is a Partner in the New Jersey Office of McKinsey & Company and Americas leader of the Global Public Health practice. Since joining McKinsey, Arnie has focused on work in the healthcare field with clients both in the nonprofit and for-profit arenas. In the nonprofit arena, Arnie has extensive experience with large multilateral technical institutions, governmental departments, foundations and stand-alone NGOs.

Eric Roberts is the Director of Morrison & Foerster's Forensic Accounting Services Group. He is a retired partner of the the international accounting firm of Deloitte and is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner, and has been certified in financial forensics (CFF) by the American Institute of CPAs.

President and Founder, Women Deliver; Founder, Family Care International (FCI)

Jill Sheffield is the founder and president of Women Deliver, and also the founder of Family Care International (FCI), a distinguished non-governmental organization and winner of the 2008 United Nations Population Award for outstanding work in sexual and reproductive health and rights.

Kelly Thompson is Director of Training Services for Lithium Technologies, responsible for leading and building the training program including the next generation of online learning courses and certification programs. She joined Lithium in 2014 from SDL International where she led the global education team. Over the past 12 years Kelly has provided many Fortune 500 companies services in education and IT consultancy specializing in social experience and global services. Prior to her career in IT, Kelly was active in the education field working as a teacher.

Paul Volberding, MD, is a Professor of Medicine at UCSF and Chief of the Medical Service at the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center. For much of the AIDS epidemic, Paul’s professional activities centered at San Francisco General Hospital where he established a model program of AIDS patient care, research, and professional education.
